A hoot, complete with a holler

I'm a short film nerd, and McCluskey clearly isn't some tool who bought a video camera at Best Buy because he had a coupon. Very funny and very professional. And Champagne is my new favorite actor. (Watch it and you'll know who I mean.) If anybody knows what else these guys have done, please post it. The humor of this piece is right up my alley, but most things I see of this ilk are too chintzy to really come off. In this instance, the actors certainly seem to be professional, the sets look authentic, the direction, lighting, etc. is sharp. And not a single prop looks like it was purchased at the dollar store. A true rarity in the world of shorts. Huzzah!

Great Short Film
sweetness_lb8 May 2006
I really enjoyed watching this short film. I think the whole idea of the two brother being rivals, was a very hilarious storyline that I have never seen in any other movie. You would think that brothers would think alike but instead they are total opposites, one working for the FBI and the other a criminal. I think the writer Tom McCluskey really came up with a good one. When I saw Double Header I found myself wishing that it was coming out in the theater real soon, since the actors did such a great job. I hope this short film becomes a full-length feature film because I am looking forward to seeing what other funny things will happen next.

funny, funny "preview"

This "trailer" is hilarious! I don't wanna spoil anything so suffice it to say that the very premise is incredibly funny. The actors have been directed to play it straight, which underscores the plot's ridiculousness. The whole film/trailer is an homage (or humorously intended mockery) of action movies, cop movies, mafia movies, brother-against-brother movies, and more. If you like any of those genres you will greatly appreciate this short. One can only wonder what gave Mr. McCluskey the idea, but the fact that an entire team of dedicated professionals worked together to make it happen proves how inspired the idea was!

Two times the laughter!

"Double Header" is finely crafted and memorable, as well as joyfully ludicrous. A great blend of sharp writing, dedicated acting, terrific location shots, creative props, and skilled direction. This film may be a short, but it's long on inventive humor--I don't think I've ever seen a film of any length quite like it. My thirteen-year-old and fifteen-year-old children thought the premise was hilarious and we definitely have watched "Double Header" more than once (and even more than twice!). We've all been really pleased to note the successes that the film has had at various festivals and competitions. One burning question, of course, remains: now that we've seen the trailer, when's the feature coming out?!

Great Comedy Short

This is a must see. I could not stop laughing. "Double Header" is very entertaining. The jokes are funny and the actors are great. The story of Agent Pelvin and his Siamese twin Benito is an original. I guarantee it is nothing like you ever seen before. Once you view this short for the first time, it won't be long before you will be viewing it again with your friends and family.

Tom McCluskey did an excellent job writing and directing this short film. I tell anyone who enjoys watching short films that "Double Header" is one of the best shorts I have ever seen. I watched it several times and each time I liked it more because I got to see details that I missed when I viewed it the first time. Don't miss out, view this film now.
