The Royal Family that as yet I have only really caught sporadic episodes, and just watched this one on the TV Channel UK Gold.
The more I see of Ricky Tomlinson's character Jim Royle, the more he looks like a garden knome. Indeed so much so that some garden company, should make one replete with an armchair. Permanently fixed to its nether regions, and it would look the spitting image of Jim Royle.
Caroline Ahern and Craig Cash have managed to create a family in the Royle's, that could be guaranteed to have their baby David taken into care.
Jim Royle loves to criticise his daughter Denise's childcare inadequacies, but he is a perpetual hypocrite. He also has a trait that appears to be endemic, within the Royle family that of bone idleness.
These are characteristics of most of the Clan that, have amused me through a few episodes. Including this one but not this time, seeing it now it suddenly jarred on my sensibilities.
As the episode progressed it became less amusing, and more of the characters became increasingly irritating.
