The animated sequence of Adora with her sword already unsheathed before she begins her transformation into She-Ra was previously seen in She-Ra Unchained (1985) and Battle for Bright Moon (1985) and will be seen again in Horde Prime Takes a Holiday (1985), The Stone in the Sword (1985) and Book Burning (1985).
The large snake that wraps itself around a Horde Trooper is a reused of the snake that attacked Orko in Betrayal of Stratos (1984).
The same model used for the octopus that attacks She-Ra in the Fright Zone previously appeared in The Remedy (1983) and Trouble in Trolla (1984).
The character models for both Lohni and her father, Turron, were designed by character artists Gerald Forton and Fred Carrillo. The designs were finalized on March 4, 1985.
A re imagined version of Lohni, now spelled 'Lonnie' appears in She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (2018), as a fellow recruit in the Horde rather than Adora's second in command.
