Plumber Frank Albertson and his partner, Marvin Loback, are working in a bathroom while a party goes on. Gertrude Astor, who's throwing the party, pays Albertson a hundred dollars to put on evening clothes and pretend to be a British lord. Unfortunately, Albertson's girlfriend, Marjorie Beebe, is performing at the party and gets the wrong idea.
Not that I'm sure what the right idea is. With an interesting cast, including Herman Bing and Matt McHugh, there are plenty of performers on hand who have been, and will be funny. They're just not funny here. Clearly there's an uninspired script, and the dull direction by Babe Stafford doesn't help.
