People has been calling this new and refreshing, and I think they must be out their mind.
The formula of this type of sitcoms have been around for more than 20 years and there's nothing refreshingly new about this show.
It doesn't suck perhaps but I mean there's absolutely nothing new about this show, even the jokes are repeaters.
The cast is decent at the best BUT they can't ever compete with the cast of for instance THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL AIR.
My Name Is Earl, Arrested Development, 30 Rock there you have 3 examples of new and refreshing shows NOT THIS ONE.
Sitcom's using a laughing audience to point out the jokes, should've been extinct 5 years ago.
