Parents Guide for
Fool's Gold (2008/I) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

A young woman is shown flashing her breasts for about 1 second from a distance. A male gets on a yacht and pulls down his swimming trunks and falls back. His bare butt is seen briefly from a distance. In several scenes a 23 year old girl is shown wearing skimpy bikinis. A few lines in the film include the word "sex" but do not contain explicit information or further details. There are a few brief non-direct references to sex, mostly through use of innuendo. Two characters are shown kissing and hugging passionately. They are fully clothed and no nudity is shown during this scene.

Violence & Gore

There are guns brandished and one man gets shot in the ear, while another is shot in the foot. Neither wound is shown close up. One man is murdered, but there is no gore, only his crumpled body. Several people are punched and hit with a shovel. A man is injured off-screen and bloody water from this incident is shown from a distance.

Characters are shot (not gory)

Characters are stabbed in the water (we see blood in the water)

A lot of bloody water is shown

Profanity

Moderate use of profanity, mostly the s-word and d-word and b-word. The f-word is muffled underwater, subtitles print the f-word.

Alcohol is shown, mostly accompanying meals. There is reference to cigar smoking and how it would ruin everyone else's evening.

There are scenes of peril. Several of them happen in or near water. If your child has a fear of water or similar issues, you might want to preview this movie.
