This episode isn't a favorite but another good one and an under the radar gem worth checking out.
This film is another odd one, it's another crime drama, I think. Well genre isn't the issue, the point of the matter is it's like with this movie they had the concept of a movie on sky diving, the problem is they didn't know what to do with it, so they had to splice in a confusing as hell soap opera like storyline and as you can gets the results don't mix. On a side note, if you want a better film about sky diving watch the under the radar action film "Terminal Velocity" which is what this film should have been.
Yeah, this film really flies into some major air pollution; the poison is bad script, bad editing you could almost play a drinking game with the editing, and worst of all bad characters mainly the main protagonist Harry though I can't really call him a protagonist as there's nothing heroic about him nor does anything heroic are kind of unlikeable jerk that's just a bad bet all around as he's committing adultery behind Beth he's wife's back for reasons unexplained; let alone from his boring persona it's hard to believe why any girl would swoon over him.
Though if there are two characters (if you can really call them that) who stand out are Beth who has this big helmet hairdo. But also, from that hair style and jump suit she's wearing she sort of looks like Rose Tico from "Star Wars: The Last Jedi"; seeing this movie and that character probably should have been seen as a bad omen on that volume of "Star Wars". She seems ok as she's on the nice side except for when she starts cheating though that's not her fault it's the writing and she never went very far and broke it off, so points for redemption.
Another is Suzie who is the noir femme fatale I think more like a wanabe femme fatale; though I'll hand it to her she looks good in that swimsuit. But her character just gets all crazy jealous over the uninteresting Harry and plots to kill him. Let alone from what she talks about her life, she's a person that has about everything what the hell is her problem, let alone why is she wasting time with uninteresting losers. And of course, the film ends on a pointless note just like the whole film.
Anyway, the riffs are solid as usual, there are plenty of memorable ones. From a short on the Industrial Arts which is obviously super dated and inaccurate in career prospects. I really like the riffing when it comes to the skydiving parts of the film or even this party scene for the nighttime jump. One riff I like is when one of them says this film is better than "Top Gun", um no not ever close dude.
There are even a few good host segments, one which is an honorable mention in my book is when Crow has fixed up and made some sort of mini car but then Servo, he is flying a fighter plane and is targeting Crow's miniature car.
Another was one Frank and Forester up to there usual random antics. One is where their playing a game of Dodgeball. But it's hardly a game at all as Forester is doing all the throwing and Frank has to do the dodging while staying within a very narrow circle. It' s just funny how much grief Forester is delivering to Frank literally.
This episode has enough altitude to keep the laughs up.
