Among the differences between this pilot episode and subsequent episodes,
is the wording of the opening narration, the display of machine guns by the officers, the verbal reference to the "state patrol" instead of the "highway patrol", a different style of narration by Art Gilmore, and a regular patrolman using the radio call sign 21-50, used by Dan Matthews in other episodes. Instead, in this episode Matthews does not use a call sign.
The Highway Patrol Logo in this first episode reads State Patrol.
