On December 3, 1963, Louis Armstrong recorded a version of the song 'Hello, Dolly!', which became his most successful single and reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, ending The Beatles' streak of three chart-topping hits in a row over 14 consecutive weeks. Armstrong also performed the song in the popular Hello, Dolly! (1969).
