Fujisawa worked for the 'Takara Company N.Y. Inc.', a subsidiary of the Japanese 'Takara Chuzo Ltd.', which started producing barber chairs in 1931. In 1962, it released the world's first electric barber chair which reduced stress on the hands and was a big hit among barber shop and salon owners.
