Graham Crowden: Tom

Quotes

  • Tom : I don't mean the Humpty-Dumpty, inkly-pinky, parlez-vous, whoops golly, who's for tennis bit.

    Diana : You mean sex?

Tom : Oh, Diana, there's no point in having a language which encourages the use of... complex euphemisms, if you come charging along using words like, um, what you just said.

  • [last lines]

Tom : Ah, Daisy, what can I do for you?

Daisy : You can put on your hat; you can take my arm, and we shall go for a stroll.

Tom : Oh, uh. Oh! Um, mm, yes, why not? Jolly good idea, just what a chap needs. It gets awfully stuffy and confused in here. Mm-hm, off we go.

Daisy : We shall go down to the lake. I've got a few plans for shaking things up around here.

    Tom : Jolly good.

Daisy : Tell me, do you have any organisational abilities?

Tom : I have organised three Arctic expeditions.

Daisy : Splendid. We'll make a grand team.

    [they head off]

    Diana : Tom?

  • Tom : Have you ever thought of cheese wire round the neck?

Marion : What did he say?

Geoffrey : He's talking about garrotting you, dear.

  • Diana Trent : Well, why aren't you getting out of bed?

Tom : There doesn't seem much point.

Diana Trent : No, of course there's no point. There is no point in the entire universe. There is no point in the concept of the vacuum from whence it came. No point or purpose in anything. No design, no nothing. Nothing and then more nothing.

Tom : I only said I didn't want to get out of bed.
