"Sent to Coventry" is a follow-up to the previous episode. If you remember, this other episode ended with Diana stripping Harvey Baines naked in front of the staff and a local government official! It was funny...and well deserved. This second episode is about the aftermath of this 'incident'!
When the show begins, Bayview is a mess. Harvey is having a prolonged stay at a local sanitarium where he's faking a nervous breakdown. As a result, the staff have mostly gone on strike and the residents blame Diana for losing their cook and gardener and other staff members...leaving Jane to do everything. In fact, there's a new petition to toss out Diana as the residents inexplicably feel sorry for the idiot Baines! How does Diana manage to survive this? See the show.
This is a pretty good episode. But what makes it memorable is the very ending...and where you learn about what a manipulator Tom can be! Funny and well worth seeing.
