It's Dorothy's birthday, and Robert's proposed a kind gesture, a picnic in The English Countryside, be two of Dorothy's friends are in town, and want to tag along.
I really did enjoy this episode, and in terms of the show overall, it highlights a bit of a change. Judy and Al are almost caricatures, they were a little bit guilty of making all Americans bawdy, over the top, the extreme of what a Brit would think an American to be, they all wear Union jack clothes and have to have big cars....
However the couple apart, this was a great episode, it's funny, it's sweet, and is sees a slight change in the relationship between Dorothy and Robert, is there perhaps a switch up in how the pair see one another.
That lamp was beautiful, I hope it wasn't the original that was burned up.
You'll notice that this third series feels less studio bound, lots of the episodes have screens outdoors, that has made a real difference.
Great, 9/10.
