Ann wants the rights to a book by a reclusive author Joseph Nelson.
A well written episode, one of Season 5's best. One of the rare times this comedy show had some poignant moments. William Windom plays Nelson, he was a busy actor in 1971, his most memorable TV role was in the Success Story episode of All In The Family that same year. It turns out he wants Ann to play the part in his story because she looks just like his late wife. Nina Foch plays his current wife, who seems hostile and angry toward Ann. Foch appeared in the classic musical An American In Paris and was Oscar nominated for Executive Suite. She and Ann have the best scene in the show.
