Rather good.

Jack is packing up his belongings, heading to Australia to start a new life and marry a new love Patricia, he's packing his stuff, causing anger to Betsy, a woman who loves him deeply and assumed the pair were going to marry. Betsy tells him she wished she'd killed him, distraught by his callousness, sending their shared possessions out to Patricia in Australia. Something clicks and Betsy begins to see red.

It's fair to say I've been hyper critical of the American made episodes, they've up until now been extremely weak, devoid of any sort of colour, A Glowing future has been a definite improvement it's fair to say, better acted, better story, even the camera work and filming seem much improved. I will applaud both John Beck and Joanna Pettet for their performances, strong and surprisingly believable.

A pretty good offering, enjoyed it, 7/10

Dreadful

Currently watching all of these old series on Sky Arts channel brings back memories of my childhood and I have to say the American episodes are truly awful and this is the worst of them all - The other reviewer was right there is no tale of anything unexpected in this just a murder with zero mystery!

"It might get there early and be a surprise."

Warning: Spoilers
The dynamic between Betsy (Joanna Pettet) and Jack (John Beck) didn't seem at all credible to this viewer for the entire episode. Her behavior hinted at mental instability in the way she came on to him even after she knew he was ditching her for the woman in Australia. Why put up with the creep after that? Especially after he'd been away for an entire year with minimal contact, showing up just long enough to take advantage of her good will and a quick roll in the hay. But they say love is blind, in which case Betsy either couldn't or wouldn't see any of the flaws in Jack's character, even when he was being an outright cad. I guess when she finally decided to send him off packing, it was a little more literal than he might have expected.

Rather flat

I agree with omendata, it was bad. The only unexpected thing about it would be when Patricia opened the trunk! He did have some good stuff though.

So what was unexpected?

Warning: Spoilers
This utterly dreadful episode does not even deserve to be in the series. Any woman on the planet would have murdered this dead from the neck up ape five minutes into the "plot". Joanna Pettet is lovely eye candy and the only reason to sit through a pretty awful twenty-five minutes. I wouldn't expect any woman to want to spend more that five seconds with the minus I.Q., Neanderthal look alike Jack. It was a blessed relief when the pig got what he deserved. AVOID!!!!!!!!
