Very 80's new wave! Everyone in the 80's wanted to be in a band either Metal or New Wave! Open 24 Hours exploits the pipe dreams of many a high school student in a hilarious way! Johnny is in a band and explains this dream to the class and the principle explains how such dreams crash and burn! Humorously, the principle's flash back of being the next 50's Fabien! Open 24 Hours is all about the Johnny character who is a spaced out artist! Many an airheaded moment of a tired teenager. Marshal, and the gang tries to promote and help with the supermarket promotion for Johnny's gig. Well the magic here is Johnny's over the top stupid/funny song. A plot device which is 80's comic gold. Open 24 Hours is a memorable episode. 7 stars.

Johnny Gets A Band Together

Marshall acts as manager to Johnny's band and gets him a gig at a supermarket.
An amusing episode. It begins with Principal Dingleman giving advice on career choices. He talks about when he tried to start his own rock band back in the day, he wanted to be the next Fabian. A funny flashback scene shows him singing on stage at a 50s sock hop. Johnny's band is called Open 24 Hours and John Densmore (the actual drummer of The Doors) shows up as the drummer. The song he sings called "I'm Tired" is a funny parody of 1980s New Wave songs.
