Only when he gets home his mother and father do not have time to discuss with him his misfortune. Timothy's father is obsessed with getting rid of moles from the garden. Even the regulars down the pub are not interested in Timothy's plight.

Timothy also dreams of a funeral where everyone looks up to him as a genuine hero. Also having sired a son that looks just like him.
