A very memorable story.

Two bodies are discovered following an avalanche in Norway, Sam is called in.

With the only potential suspect dead, Sam calls on a friend for help, Alice Michaels, a criminal profiler, not Sam's area of expertise. Nice to see the black and white thinking Dr Ryan branch out into other fields, and ask for help.

There is a very large scale feel about this episode, it feels big budget, the Norway setting adds a real touch of quality, it feels very different. A terrific cast, Tony Head, Stephen Moore and Mel Martin, Sean Chapman was great as the DCI wanting a quick result.

I am very much looking forward to the second part. 9/10

Profiling

Two young English women are found under the ice at a Norwegian ski slope; only it's been fifteen years between their deaths. Their bodies are naked and they have been strangled. There were some weird goings on but it is pretty sure the murderer is the same person. Sam is brought in and though it is out of her jurisdiction, when the bodies are returned, they become her problem.
