Roy stops at a water hole and sends Bullet to get the mail. As Roy bends down for a drink, the notorious Mingo Kid pistol whips him and steals his shirt, hat, guns, and Trigger. It seems the Kid's fancy shirt ID him as himself. Bullet returns, sees the Kid riding off with Trigger, and takes off after them. Roy is then met by Turk Black, who mistakes him for the Mingo Kid, and tells him they will make a lot of cash with the help of one of Mineral City's leading citizens. Roy continues the impersonation to find out what crime they will commit and who the leading citizen is who runs the gang. Eventually, Bullet has to play dead to fool the outlaws, and take a note from Roy to Dale and Pat so that the three of them can foil the outlaws plan. In this episode, Bullet often seems to be the smartest one in the whole bunch.
