Fish Is My Favorite Fish

Roy and Dale stop mine owner John Baldwin from beating up Mart Woodward, his partner in the mine. John accuses Mart of stealing ore from the mine. But just who is actually high-grading the ore? And the female laundry owner is sure acting suspiciously. Could she be in on it, too? A funny bit has Pat frying up all the trout Dale was saving for the dinner special at the cafe. Pat plans to eat them all himself, but Dale offers free trout to everyone who comes in, much to Pat's chagrin. When Roy comes in and Dale offers him some trout, too, Roy says, "fish is my favorite fish." Roy may have flubbed that line but it's still in the episode. Russ Scott is in this episode as Baldwin's henchman, Jake Douglas. Scott only had a few small roles outside the Roy Rogers Show, but he totaled 42 appearances on Roy Rogers, each time as a different character. He can be classified as a regular background supporting player.
