Rover Boy
hogwrassler9 November 2020
Young Johnny Rover breaks out of jail with only two days left on his sentence. Roy recaptures him. It turns out that Johnny is really Jackson Revere Jr., of Boston. His father is a stuffy wealthy businessman and is coming to Mineral City to see him. But Jackson Sr. thinks his son is a deputy sheriff. Meanwhile, a couple of bad guys are trying to break their partner out of jail. They plan on using Johnny to accomplish that. There's a lot of hard riding, fist fighting, and fast shooting action in this one. Silent film star Reed Howes again plays the sheriff and he has a larger role than usual. Long time cowboy actor Dennis Moore plays Dan Cass, one of the bad guys. He was in a few Jimmy Wakely westerns in the 1940s. Dennis once stabbed Jimmy after a night of heavy drinking. Dennis was apparently jealous of Jimmy's popularity. But, all was forgiven and Dennis appeared in another B-western with Jimmy.
