The 1974 4 door hardtop Lincoln Continental Jim Rockford is driving while being held at gun point by Mike Ryder becomes a 1965 Lincoln Continental 4 door hardtop with suicide doors when it goes over the cliff and crashes.
The passenger seat is empty when the car goes over the cliff near the end of the episode.
When chasing the white Porsche Rockford's car passes a construction site with a green & white truck parked there. This is just before the cop gets on his tail. Continuing the chase Rockford finally pulls over for the cop. Then, there is a shot of the white Porsche getting away, driving past the construction site and white & green truck it would have passed long ago.
The POV shown through Rockford's video camera doesn't match his actual location. When he's filming the Countess on the road he is located high up on the side of a hill. But the view shown through his camera lens is at the level of someone standing down by the road.
The model of camera that Rockford uses does not have a microphone, yet the sound of someone can be heard in the footage from it.
When Becker is talking to Jim on the phone and puts him on hold, none of the buttons light up on his phone. Becker even uses the excuse that one of his other lines is flashing to stall him.
When the view switches to the speedometer of the Lincoln Continental it is not a Lincoln speedometer at all. It is one of a Dodge or Plymouth police car with the word "Certified" on it.
Rockford filmed the Countess using a standard 8mm camera. Later when he shows the what he filmed it's on his TV screen. He couldn't do this with film and had he used a video camera it would have been much, much bigger than what he used. It's even stranger that he had video player since they would have been extremely expense and few people could afford them for home use.
At about 19 minutes in when Rockford pulls away to chase the Porsche a helicopter is visible up to the right in the distance. This is the helicopter that takes the aerial footage of the ensuing chase.
A shadow of a crew member is visible against the wall of the trailer as Rockford enters.
When Rockford is stopped and cuffed by the motorcycle officer, the officer calls in a radio call for backup saying that he has a suspect in a "157." Worse Rockford understands what he means and states that he isn't a murderer.
In the California Penal Code, murder is violation "187". Penal code "157" covers attempts to switch children by people in whose temporary custody they have been placed.
In a phone conversation with Jim, Dennis Becker refers to a woman, presumably his wife, as "Nancy." In later episodes she would later be named "Peggy."
