  Emmett : Excuse me, Mr. Boyd?

  [he pulls Drew aside] 

  Emmett : I hope I'm not out of place for saying this... actually, I don't give a fuck if I am. Back in Hazlehurst, Mississippi where I grew up, I was always taught that if a real man has something to say about someone, he says it to his face, not behind his back. So even though you may be a star, you know, captain of the team, hero to millions, you still have a lot to learn about being a man.

  [walks away and continues serving the guests] 

• Emmett : [to Drew, talking about football]  You know, I can't see the difference between how you play your game on Sunday afternoons, and how I play my games on Saturday nights.

  Emmett : [Drew tackles him]  ...this also isn't that much different from my Saturday nights.

• [Emmett returns to Drew Boyd's house to pick up his check and equipment. Drew's there alone] 

  Emmett : [as Drew answers the door]  Is Sierra in?

  Drew Boyd : She's off with her girlfriends seeing some chick flick.

  Emmett : Oh, well I stopped by to pick up a check and my equipment.

  Drew Boyd : Yeah, she left you a check. Come on in.

  [Emmett hesitates] 

  Drew Boyd : Well?

  [Emmett relents and comes inside. A football game's on TV] 

  Drew Boyd : [gives Emmett his check]  Here you go.

  Emmett : Thanks. I'll just get my equipment and...

  Drew Boyd : How about a beer?

  [goes and gets two bottles of beer] 

  Drew Boyd : I'm not supposed to be drinking, but I'm in pretty good shape. Wouldn't you say?

  [he lifts up his shirt exposing his six-pack] 

  Emmett : I'd say one beer's not gonna ruin that six-pack.

  [Drew hands him a bottle of beer] 

  Drew Boyd : [gesturing at the TV]  That was last week's game. Coach makes us watch ourselves.

  Emmett : Which one are you?

  Drew Boyd : Number 7.

  Emmett : Very graceful... in a rugged, manly way.

  [Drew chuckles and takes a sip of beer] 

  Emmett : You know, there's something I've always wanted to ask: why the tight pants?

  Drew Boyd : So there's nothing to grab onto if you're tackled.

  Emmett : And why are you always patting each other's asses?

  Drew Boyd : Just friendly encouragement.

  Emmett : You know, I don't see much difference in how you play your game on Sunday afternoons and how I play my game on Saturday nights.

  [laughs and takes a sip of beer] 

  Drew Boyd : Here.

  [tosses Emmett an autographed football] 

  Drew Boyd : Catch.

  Emmett : [catches it and laughs in surprise]  Oh, my God! Did you see that? I caught it. I never caught a ball in my life.

  [Drew slowly walks towards him and tackles him to the floor onto his back] 

  Emmett : [in surprise]  Oof!

  Drew Boyd : You okay?

  Emmett : This also isn't much different than my Saturday nights. You have a very nice body.

  Drew Boyd : You think so?

  Emmett : Strong, uh, hard.

  Drew Boyd : Feel my bicep. Go on.

  [Emmett touches it] 

  Drew Boyd : Now feel this.

  [he grabs Emmett's hand and places it on his hardened crotch] 

  Emmett : What about Sierra?

  Drew Boyd : She thinks I have a nice body, too.

  [he rolls Emmett over onto his stomach and pulls his pants and underwear down]
