Episode 411 "I ordered our favorite, Mighty Man Meat! Sausage, Pepperoni, Meatball, Ham, and Bacon!" ~Michael

This episode was interesting, and kind of ironic. Lindsay's relationship with the artist is finally discovered by Melanie, and neither of them are too thrilled about it. I never thought I would ever see Lindsay with another woman, yet alone a man. Emmett's relationship with Boyd the football star is just bizarre. I'm not sure that it's half as good of a story arc as it was in season three, but it still at least makes sense. It's very easy to see Emmett falling for Boyd, so it makes the relationship somewhat believable. Callie, Hunter's new girlfriend, is kind of strange, but it really seems like they love each other. Mel and Lindsay's conversation as well as Emmett waiting in the hotel room with Boyd were both very touching sequences. Overall not the greatest episode, but it was really quite enjoyable.

Gay or Straight is Straight

Many of my friends hated this episode and felt that the 'heterosexualizing' of Hunter undermines the whole concept of the show. I understand their point to a degree, but I still believe QAF is an excellent series that highlights the ups, downs and In between of being gay effectively. I'm curious if the writers are all gay. I know that some of the key stars are not. That has also been a bone of contention within the LGBTQ community with regards to QAF.

I really liked the part when it turns out that Hunter is straight. I really didn't think this will happen! I can just imagine how shocked Michael and Ben were. A clever idea that got us some great scenes, especially the one where Michael is in bed wondering if this is all just a phase Hunter goes through.

I feel pretty sad that Debbie gets together with Carl, I feel bad for the woman he was dating.

All these Brian stories start to bore me I must say. It is all the same: oh Brian, that dark misunderstood hero that just comes and saves every situation without telling everyone because he is sooooo noble. Enough already. Makes me wonder why people think he is a deep character, it is all the same....

Great scene between Mel and Lindsay! Really looking forward to how it goes on.
