Initially, there is no explanation for how Leon Stiles got a gun in the waiting room. The camera does not show the floor of the waiting room, until exactly 5 minutes and 9 seconds into the episode. Behind Leon and Al, and to the right of the blue waiting room's white table, an unconscious U.S. Marine Corps security guard can be clearly seen laying face down. It is dressed identically to another armed Marine guard that enters the hallway at 5 minutes and 42 seconds. If the viewer looks at the body carefully, a black pistol holster is visible by their waist. This is where Leon got the gun from.
What isn't shown nor explained, is why an armed Marine guard was needed in the waiting room, and how Leon managed to overpower them.

The episode used the Enigma-style music heard in the hooker's apartment as the end theme instead of the original end theme music.
The first shot of Al's car is reused from the Pilot, which used a 1987 Ferrari Testarossa. In all subsequent shots, it is a 1981 Ferrari 512 BB Cabriolet that has been modified to show different rear lights. Both cars have had their normal V-12 engine sounds overlaid with "futuristic" sounds. The car he is pursuing is an early 90s Ford Probe.
