- Joan 'The Freak' Ferguson: Heard you got roughed up. How come the governor sent you back for another dose?
- Nola McKenzie: She wasn't going to. There was no way I was going back to solitary.
- Joan 'The Freak' Ferguson: Oh, how did you persuade her?
- Nola McKenzie: I told her you did it.
- Joan 'The Freak' Ferguson: You what?
- Nola McKenzie: Don't worry. I kept your name out of it. I just dropped a few hints.
- Meg Morris: If I do stay, what happens to Ferguson?
- Erica Davidson: Well, Mr Douglas is convinced that the complaints against her are due to staff personality clashes. He sees no reason why she should be removed or transferred.
- Meg Morris: The women wont accept it.
- Erica Davidson: We've accepted their terms; they'll have to accept ours.
- Meg Morris: Until next time.
- Colleen Powell: I'm watching every move so don't try anything with McKenzie.
- Bea Smith: Gee, Mrs Powell! What with you keeping an eye on her and Ferguson keeping her on a leesh, she's leading a charmed life.
- Nola McKenzie: Bashing me isn't gonna bring Paddy back to life. Doesn't worry me but I can handle myself. I'm gonna be around here ages yet.
- Bea Smith: You reckon?
- Nola McKenzie: Oh sure. I don't scare that easily. Anyway I just thought I'd let you know.
