At a house two men are making recordings, but tragedy strikes. Tom discovers his brother Michael has indeed been working for Martindale, taking part in experiments about dreams.
The 70's equipment looks straight out of Doctor Who, some wonderfully retro machines covered in dials and flashing lights. I really enjoy some of the imagery, they weren't bound by needing state of the arts effects.
I'm biased as a Doctor Who fan, especially Tom Baker's years, so I naturally find Louise Jameson a total delight, she works so well with James Hazeldine, he was such a good actor.
I wonder had this series been made a little later it would have had bigger impact.
There is a definite growing antagonism between Tom and Roy, Tom clearly doubts Roy's word concerning his meeting Julia at the start, he mistrusts him.
It's a good episode with some good concepts, more pedestrian and slower then the opener, quite a few clichés, but some really good aspects. 6/10
