MRS BROWN AND HER ESP PROBLEM!
tcchelsey22 April 2023
Classic MY FAVORITE MARTIAN fluff stuff. Special gust star is Leonid Kinskey, who specialized in European roles due to his Russian accent. He is so bizarro as a professor who Tim brings home, all because he's doing an article on ESP. Of course, Uncle Martin's extra sensory powers get all messed up --and precisely at the wrong time - causing Mrs. Brown to regress into a teenager, next a baby? This is also one of the few episodes where Martin actually exposes himself, as he really has no choice to help Mrs. Brown. Pamela Britton, a professional singer and dancer earlier in her career, struts her stuff, singing Broadway tunes in one scene, and actually she's not that bad. She made a good team with Kinskey, as they are both over the top. Kinskey gained fame by playing Sascha in CASABLANCA (1942), and all because he struck up a friendship with Humphrey Bogart. They both enjoyed cocktails. He was offered a regular role in HOGANS HEROES not too long after this episode, but turned it down as the anti-Nazi theme brought back memories of his own plight, fleeing war torn Europe during WWII. He would have been spot on in any type of international role. Kinskey did gain cult fame though, appearing twice on BATMAN in 1966 as Professor Overbeck. SEASON 2 EPISODE 7 dvd box set. Shop around as the MY FAVORITE MARTIAN box sets vary in price, the third season "color" episodes the most expensive.
