What a great opening theme for a serious episode that shows Murphy being really concerned about the results of the interview she's having with an atmospheric scientist. Jay Thomas guest stars as Jerry Gold, a Jerry Springer like afternoon talk show host they can't stand, calling the news team hypocrites for doing things that are not environmentally healthy and protecting the care while he does nothing and genuinely doesn't care. A bet is made that threatens to have Murphy as a guest on his show which has the FYI staff getting rid of environmentally unsafe products, something that individual states didn't start doing until 30 years later. Arguments over violations and what others consider absurd creates major conflict. Never have social relevance been so funny as well as ahead of its time. It really is styrofoam food container for thought.
