It's a good-hearted friendly farewell to both Jake and Jerry when Murphy decides that a relationship is too much for her even if she does decide to have the baby. She also has to break the news to the FYI staff later but cant hide it from Phil who pretends to have guessed it by looking at her right in the eye. Murphy's very reflective over the issues that lay ahead, and faces of variety of emotions from the FYI staff including Miles whose initial attitude reflects that of Dan Quayle's down the road. The most generous advice and support comes from the big hearted Eldon whois planning on quitting because he thinks Murphy's getting married, but when he finds out the truth, is all of the sudden inspired for new works. The end of this arch is going to lead on to new story lines, making Monday nights (between this and "Designing Women" at its best) must see TV.

Murphy needs to find some maternal instinct. It won't be at her drug store.
