The Inspector attends the rodeo to question suspects in full Red Serge, the RCMP ceremonial regalia AND on horseback. This is worn for ceremonial or official engagements only and would not be worn to question suspects. Detectives would be dressed in street clothes (suit) or patrol uniform, and are not often of high rank, as an Inspector is mostly an administrator/supervisor. The only Mounties on horseback are the Musical Ride and are based in Ottawa, Ontario. They aren't on active duty.

Early in the episode, a character calls Regina ( pronounced Reg-EYE-na) Reg-EEN-a, as well as Jessica and two other characters call the Ro-DEE-o by the los angeles pronunciation Ro-DAY-o. While Jessica may call it that, no one involved in Canadian rodeos ever would.
