I do not like this episode. Clayt is really out of character in this episode when he abandons his family to go on a gold hunt with a thief. Clayt always seemed to be a level-headed, responsible man. But if this is his true character, I think we should rethink him as a hero.
Granted, he's human, and any human can get money hungry. Unfortunately, this seems way out of character when he takes all the money his family has to invest in something that doesn't even seem like a sure thing...In the end, he admits he was wrong and asks his family to forgive him, but it just makes me sick to my stomach to think about his actions.
"I'm the head of the family. I don what I want." That was his attitude.
