  Steve Carey : Yeah, that's me.

  Michael Anthony : My name is Michael Anthony.

  Steve Carey : Come on in.

  Michael Anthony : [as he enters]  Mr. Carey, I have a cashier's check for you for $1,000,000.

  Steve Carey : [Disbelieving]  Thanks a lot. I've got a dozen chocolate egg claires for you.

  Michael Anthony : [Chuckling]  Mr. Carey, this is no joking matter.

  [Anthony reaches into his briefcase and withdraws a check, which he presents to Carey] 

  Michael Anthony : Here you are.

  Steve Carey : [Looks at check, then returns it to Anthony]  Look, there's no such thing as a million dollars.

  Michael Anthony : You're difficult to convince, Mr. Carey. But I assure you, the check is valid. You are now worth $1,000,000, tax-free.

  Steve Carey : Okay, so I'm worth a million dollars.

  [Questioning] 

  Steve Carey : Somebody die and leave me a bundle?

  Michael Anthony : On the contrary, your benefactor is very much alive.

  Steve Carey : Flipped his lid?

  Michael Anthony : [Ignoring the comment and producing a document from his briefcase]  If you will just sign this paper. There is only one condition. You are never to tell anyone, except your wife, who gave you the money nor the amount. If you do, whatever money you still have in your possession will be reclaimed by the donor.

  Steve Carey : Okay. What have I got to lose?

  [Signs the agreement] 

  Michael Anthony : [Reaching into his briefcase and withdrawing a large stack of bills]  I thought you might like some cash for immediate expenses. Shall we say a thousand dollars?

  Steve Carey : [Wide eyes]  Yeah, let's say a thousand dollars.

  Michael Anthony : [Handing over the cash]  When you deposit this check, you can return that amount to me. You'll find a couple of hundreds and several fifties in there, but it's mostly tens and twenties. It's a little more convenient that way.

  Steve Carey : Mr. Anthony, on a deal like this I'm not hard to please. I'da taken it in nickels.
