[first lines]
Sgt Gavin Troy : Morning, sir.
DCI Tom Barnaby : Troy.
Sgt Gavin Troy : His name's Martin Wroath. He lived alone. It's got to be suicide.
[pause]
Sgt Gavin Troy : What a way to do it.
-
Sarah Wroath : So, how can I help?
DCI Tom Barnaby : It's about your estranged husband, Martin Wroath.
Sarah Wroath : Oh no, not more trouble. What's he trying to do to us now?
DCI Tom Barnaby : Well, whatever he was trying to do, Sarah, he won't be doing it anymore.
-
DCI Tom Barnaby : You don't know Dr. Moore,do you?
Sgt Gavin Troy : No,sir.
DCI Tom Barnaby : I used the good doctor on a couple of difficult cases. Long before your time, of course.
Sgt Gavin Troy : For what?
DCI Tom Barnaby : These days it's called psychological profiling.
Sgt Gavin Troy : Oh, yes.
DCI Tom Barnaby : And having a brilliant analytical mind, Dr. Moore was spot on.
Sgt Gavin Troy : Yeah, well these dried up old academics are all right for a bit of theory long after the event, but your Dr. Moore doesn't have to go out and find it first hand, does he?
DCI Tom Barnaby : Probably not.
Dr. Jane Moore : Tom, it's great to see you.
DCI Tom Barnaby : It's good to see you, too.
