Sam's pleasurable business
JordanThomasHall6 March 2020
Sam announces at the town council meeting that he has contacted the Raleigh-based City Planners Inc. to survey Mayberry in ways to improve industry and business. While Sam will be tied up that week, Millie decides to take the time to visit her sister in Atlanta. The planner arrives in the form of a lovely lady, Terry Phillips (Ruta Lee). The citizens quickly grow suspicious of her time with Sam.

Treat to see Ruta Lee

Again another episode that's a bit creepy. All the regular characters are dumbed down to be suspicious of Sam Jones (Ken Berry) and Terri Phillips (Ruta Lee) just because she's attractive. Sam must cross paths with attractive women regularly in his position in city government. Sam should of had a backbone and invited Terri to his home for meals and not worry what people say or think. Millie had a cute reaction to the photo mix-up.

Pretty Ruta Lee returns to Mayberry being a not so nice newspaper writer on assignment who tried to get Andy fired on TAGS. I remember Ruta Lee in the 70s being on game shows in a pre Vanna White like role.

Hell is a small town...

This is a rather contrived and silly episode that sets up a conflict for most of the whole episode and then ends it 'neat-as-a-pin' within the course of a couple of minutes. To say it is not a very satisfying or realistic episode would be putting it quite gently...
