Fearful of a doomed trip
JordanThomasHall4 February 2020
Millie has a bad dream that something terrible will happen to Sam and Howard on their fishing trip. She tries to talk them out of their trip and turns to documented cases of dreams correctly foretelling future disasters. Millie tells Howard she dreamt he came into money, and indeed he got a check from the treasury department that morning. The doomed dream of the impending trip begins to get to Howard. On the outset of their trip, Howard takes every cautionary measure. His fears lead to comical situations. But, could disaster indeed be looming?

I believe this episode was inspired by The Andy Griffith Show episode "A Warning From Warren". It seems fresh though with a different cast. There's some funny moments with Howard here, but I felt there was potential for more.

"A Warning from Warren" was funnier.

Though not as good as the original episode it still had some mildly humorous moments. Howard Sprague (Jack Dodson) and Millie Swanson (Arlene Golonka) were the highlights. Very interesting to see Arlene Golonka actually have to act being apprehensive here rather than her usual persona.

Jack Dodson is at his best in a worried state. He can be quite funny and is a natural with the funny faces. Mike (Buddy Foster) is welcome absent but continuity awkward.

Episode had three olive green cars owned by the characters. What are the odds? Elmo at the drugstore sells fishing reels. What doesn't he sell? Arlene Golonka looks like she's added a few pounds. She still looks great.
