The lawyer's cousin ( a disagreeable lady with a horrid temper) ask for his help after her husband leaves her for another woman, who happens to be a artist and cute. A touched-up photo, and an art gallery leads to murder of Matlock's brother in law- his cousin gets arrested for murder, which is natural as she had threatened her husband at gunpoint, poured coffee over his head and tried to slap him, plus her car is damaged due to the hit and run on her husband. In this concluding part of the two parter, Matlock defends his cousin in his inimitable fashion and finds plenty of obstacles.
