Glenn Corbett was injured when he leaped from a window of a set and fell between the mattresses below. As a result he was unable to film the final shot of this episode, and a new final scene had to be written in which Glenn's and the lady's arms can be seen waving from behind a counter.

Act 1 is titled "Dead, For A Shilling". Possibly alluding to Hamlet Act 3, Scene 4 where Prince Hamlet says "Dead, for a ducet, dead." as he kills Polonius, thinking him the uncle/stepfather/king.
