Dudley Rush went to a roller disco with daughter Susan and ended up breaking his leg. Even though he had a soft landing, he landed on another woman.
Lying in bed, he has a deadline to meet to draw the latest cartoon strip as he is being pressurized by Duncan.
Susan is looking for a job, as she cannot get her dream job. She has to set her sights lower. A mix up on the phone means that Duncan's secretary Marlene (Barbara Flynn) thinks that Duncan plans to replace her. She quits instead.
Dudley and Muriel usually worry about money, or the lack of it. Dudley is doing the spot the ball competition hoping he gets lucky.
When he sees his latest bank statement, his ship has come in. Dudley has £75,000 in his bank account. It might be an error in the part of the bank, but he dreams big and rich.
It was good to see Barbara Flynn in the episode. Shame this was the only episode. Once again Robert Gillespie does sterling work with the ventriloquist lion glove puppet.
I did groan at Duncan slipping on Dudley's roller skate that was carelessly lying around. It was poorly done.
