  Green Lantern : Thanagarian contraband sells for big bucks on the black market.

  Hawkgirl : Where'd you get this?

  Carter Hall : In Egypt, during an archeological dig. It's not from the invasion. It's been on Earth for over 8,000 years. You're Thanagarian. With your help, I could translate the glyphs, figure out how the technology got there. We could investigate this together. Come with me to Egypt.

  Vixen : Cairo's beautiful this time of year. I could recommend some nice restaurants.

  Green Lantern : We'll examine the artifact and get back to you when we know something. Thank you, Mr. Hall.

  Batman : The Metrotower has some of the most advanced scientific equipment on the planet.

  Carter Hall : Okay. While they run their tests, maybe you and I can discuss this in more detail. Over dinner?

  Hawkgirl : Oh, I don't...

  [glancing at John] 

  Hawkgirl : Um... okay. Sure.

  Hawkgirl : So, he was in the crowd. I don't see what...

  Hawkgirl : [seeing another footage reel where Hall pops up again]  A coincidence. This... this doesn't mean he's...

  Green Lantern : [he shows them a third reel where Hall shows up yet again]  I'm gonna have a little talk with this guy.

  Hawkgirl : This isn't any of your business... or yours.

  Batman : It's League business.

  Hawkgirl : Oh, really? Do I tell you who to date? Carter Hall has uncovered a genuine mystery. And I think it's worth investigating.

  Green Lantern : You should take backup.

  [she glowers] 

  Green Lantern : I meant Batman. I... we don't want you walking into a trap.

  Hawkgirl : I can take care of myself. Thanks.

  Batman : The point is...

  Hawkgirl : The point is you don't trust me... either of you.
