- [first lines]
- [a horse-drawn covered wagon containing four beautiful women drives into Langtry]
- Texas Ranger Steve Allison: I never saw so many pretty women in one place in all my life.
- Deputy Jeff Taggart: Judge, the driver looks just like your picture of Lily Langtry.
- Judge Roy Bean: Say, she sure does.
- Hannah Carter: Well, good afternoon, gentlemen. I'm Hannah Carter.
- Judge Roy Bean: Howdy-do, ma'am. I'm Judge Roy Bean. Welcome to Langtry.
- Hannah Carter: Not the famous Judge Bean?
- Judge Roy Bean: Well, I don't know how famous I am, but I'm Judge Bean, all right.
- Hannah Carter: Well, I'm Hannah Carter and this is Mary and Ruth Phillips and Melissa Marlowe.
- Ruth Phillips: Pleased to meet you.
- Mary Phillips: Hello.
- Melissa Marlowe: How do you do.
- [Judge Bean yanks away the bandanna masking Hannah's face]
- Judge Roy Bean: You sure had me fooled.
- Hannah Carter: What are you talking about?
- Judge Roy Bean: You don't really look like Lily Langtry. Not at all.
- Judge Roy Bean: Looks like you girls have got a lot to answer for.
- Hannah Carter: We demand a trial by jury and a good lawyer. We know our rights!
- Judge Roy Bean: Well, that's all right with me. I'd much rather somebody else decide the punishment anyway.
- Texas Ranger Steve Allison: I'll lock 'em up, Judge
- Deputy Jeff Taggart: That's my job. I'll lock them up.
- Judge Roy Bean: I think I'd better lock 'em up.
- [Letty enters the courtroom with her pistol drawn]
- Letty Bean: Just a minute. *I'll* lock them up. Come on, ladies - and you are ladies, aren't you? I can tell by the way you're dressed. Outside... let's go.
- [last lines]
- Judge Roy Bean: [to Jeff and Steve] Four ladies from Laredo... Boys, if you travel down that narrow path of life, you've got to be mighty careful... mighty careful.
