A teenager is badly burned in an ATV accident, and House and his team race to save the kid's life as a lot more is going on than just body burns. Here's where HOUSE ups the ante set by ER. Scenes with the horribly burned youth become extremely graphic, as we watch the ministrations to the kid's body in close-up. We also see House make a sudden decision to bathe the kid in maggots in order to speed up the healing process. It's quite a scene, and not for the faint of heart. The young actor playing the burn victim is quite convincing, especially when House momentarily rouses him from his medically-induced coma to try to find out something. Many scenes in this episode are cringe-inducing, and will not be for everyone. The ending is one of the biggest tear-jerkers of the series to date, although it may not be the ending you expect.
