**SPOILERS** It was okay, but it points out, truthfully, WHY so many of these potentially good ideas go bad. They stop planning WAY too early. I'm convinced that most (not all, though), criminals are self destructive. They build a serious flaw into a plan that should go off without a hitch, or have a member of the crew that can't help screwing up. In this case, like a couple of others, the problem was not splitting up the loot, and then getting away from each other right away.

The main crook has to control things for too long after the job is really finished. That's what I mean; WHY? I think it's a need to be caught. In this case, the guy who masterminded the deal was up against the "third strike provision". some states had a law that stated, in effect, that a criminal convicted of three serious felonies in that state would get a life sentence. There's the proof that he's out to lose his life. Instead of planning a quick, clean payoff and getaway, he has the partners hang around just waiting to get caught.

Because of that, it was short work for Dan Matthews and the boys from The Highway Patrol to figure it out, get a fix on the guy they could grab first, and narrow down the places the other two could be, Dan shooting "Mr. 3-times" down like a skunk. Over and Out.
