- Narrator: In the fight against crime, law enforcement officials are aided in apprehending the lawless through knowledge of typical criminal behavior. This is known as M.O., or modus operandi. Occasionally, officials encounter a crime committed in a new manner, or in a variation of an old method. In early September, a truck driver named Buzz Larkin was putting into effect phase one of what he and his accomplices hoped would be a successful crime.
