Watch 1st, then watch again!

Warning: Spoilers
One of the better Highway Patrols for a number of reasons:

1) Plot --ingenious caper, yet quickly unraveled by Matthews. The bad guys are caught off balance and panic.

2) Night moves -- rare night footage, extra production effort & expense.

3) Metaphor -- Instead of death throes, the murdered Walter Burns' hands just slide off the steering wheel as he dies. Classic!

4) Stuntman -- bad guy Denson nicely rolls off the roof after he's shot.

5) The cars! (see http://www.imcdb.org/movie.php?id=47739, comments) Early in-town episodes of Highway Patrol are loaded with great old cars if you look quickly. Spotted a '39 Lincoln Zephyr (Clark Gable owned one .. I wonder). Many others.

Weak Links
darbski9 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
**SPOILERS** Yup, there's always one guy who just HAS to screw things up. WHY? There's a real psychology around it. But usually there is always a guy who just can't keep his trap shut, handle his emotions, get too greedy, or lazy, etc.. There's no point in going into why this pretty good plan failed, but it did fail, The person who's gonna burn for it is the one who shoulda/coulda done something about it; but guess what? Yup. ANOTHER weak link. The FIRST weak link was the guy who didn't help the guy with the body shop. They absolutely needed to get rid of the truck right away. It was 1-2-3 for Broderick and the boys after that. Almost all of these criminal endeavors fall apart because of a weak link; this one had three. I'm gonna HAVE to write a small paper on why there is almost always an idiot in charge of screwing up.

For the love of money...

Warning: Spoilers
A supermarket is robbed by men disguised as armored car drivers. Mathews quickly figures out that the toughest part was to disguise the truck as an armored car. The cops are soon onto a local body shop whose owner and culprit recently purchased a large quantity of sheet metal. The owner gets scared and runs to his confederate Art Densen who with his wife has a diner across from the supermarket they robbed. The body shop owner is scared and wants his money right away even though Art tells him they need to wait. Art gets more and more out of control and fixates on the money and delves deeper into evil by killing his confederate and going after his scared wife. A solid episode.
