DRIVING WITH A LICENSE, BUT DEAD?
tcchelsey15 January 2024
One campy episode, well written by Richard Landau, who wrote some interesting material in his time, such as THE GIRL IN BLACK STOCKINGS. To note, and right off the bat, Greg is either being smooched or bounced around like a basketball. Way adventurous story for Grant Williams.

It all starts out when he nearly has a head-on crash with a dead man? Greg checks out the car where it appears the victim killed himself with a shotgun --while driving? Strange, creepy stuff which leads to a murder investigation, but nobody wants to talk the talk.

Excellent support from beautiful Abby Dalton, playing Julie, who makes this episode very entertaining. Abby began her career a few years earlier in some classic 50s crime flicks, such as STAKEOUT ON DOPE STREET. Best known playing Joey Bishop's wife on his sitcom. Popular character actor and SUPERMAN villain, Milton Frome plays a doctor who looks suspicious from the start. Watch him. Frome is perfectly cast in this part, and has a good opening scene with Greg.

Some additional music added; Arthur Lymon and his group perform, and are excellent, no doubt promoting another album, and Cricket sings the classics.

For 60s car fans, Greg has one sweet convertible ride. From SEASON 3 EPISODE 29 (1962).
