In several scenes you can see regular traffic on Diamond Head Road. There is a sniper with a high-powered rifle firing down on police. In a normal stand off of this type police would block the road from all civilian traffic.
While at the scene of the hostage situation at the bunker, McGarrett is informed that Che Fong found evidence of a sedative in the kidnapped little girl's chocolate. McGarrett orders Ben to arrest the child's caretaker, referring to her by both her first and last names, even though no one has mentioned her name, and McGarrett would have had no way to know her name at that point.
McGarrett calls central dispatch from the scene of the hostage situation along the highway to check the license on the kidnappers' car. He tells the dispatcher he wants to check the owner's registration on a "white, 1962 Ford four-door sedan," and gives her the license number. The dispatcher asks for confirmation that he's seeking information about "a 1960 white four-door sedan" and repeats the license number. Even though she misstates the year of the vehicle, McGarrett responds, "Confirmed."
At the beginning, when Frank and Luther are fighting with the police officer, a brown hard top sedan is seen parked across the road. When they subsequently cross the road while trying to escape, the car is now a bright yellow convertible.
When the first officer is killed near the white '62 ford, the police car is a 1970 Ford Galaxie. The injured officer is behind the 1970 Ford Galaxie. After McGarrett arrives, the view of the two cars shows the '62 Ford and the police car as a 1972 Chevrolet Impala. When they show the officers in armored gear rescuing the injured officer, the police car is now a 1967 Ford Galaxie.
When Eadie arrives, she tells McGarrett that Luther is harmless. McGarrett replies that he killed two police officers. Everyone knew that Larry was dead, but it was never announced that Tommy was killed also, yet McGarrett knew it.
There are two helicopters shown, a Bell 47 bubble top and a Hughes MD 500. The sound of the turbine powered MD 500 is replaced by the sound of the piston powered Bell 47, a distinct difference.
