Take the 86 Train
zsenorsock13 September 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Kind of a mild spoof of "Murder on the Orient Express", "From Russia with Love" and other spy films involving a murder on a train, enlivened mostly by a cameo by Johnny Carson, acting as the train's conductor.

CONTROL couriers have been getting murdered trying to deliver payroll to their agents behind the Iron Curtain. The Chief selects 99 to be the next agent to try and get $500,000 through, but though his bungling, Max manages to get the assignment by accidentally handcuffing himself to the briefcase. On board the train he is met by Agent 44, who hasn't been paid in months. The jokes about the spy union are probably the strongest part of this episode other than the Carson cameo.

Not the best Smart, but still head and shoulders over most sitcom episodes today.
