- TriviaThe Bible verse that Marie quotes to try to prove the meaning of life is an actual verse. She is reading Proverbs 14:4.
- GoofsWhen Ray and Deb are seen in the hallway outside Ally's room, there are several pictures on the wall. Once they have opened the bedroom door and are talking to her, there is only one large picture in the same place on the wall in the hallway. Additionally, in this episode both Ally's and the twins' rooms are shown to be at the end of the hallway when each of the bedroom doors are open even though their rooms are next to each other so only one of them could be at the end of the hallway.

The Best of the Barones!
My favorite episode of a wonderful show. The Barones are pondering the meaning of life for the benefit of Ray and Debra's daughter, Allie. Funniest lines include Ray calling the family priest and leaving a message: "Father, can you call us back as soon as possible and tell us the meaning of life so we can tell our daughter?"
Also, Robert examining the meaning of the short life of a fruit fly among other things, and looking into the heavens (actually the ceiling) and calling out, "Why God, Why?" There's really little that goes on in this episode besides a dysfunctional family sitting around the living room having a discussion, but that's enough to keep the constant laughs coming! A classic!
