A typical family drama taking place in a one hundred thousand souls city where a big executive - played by Charles Bickford - whose the father, sixty years ago, built a school which collapsed, killing many children, decides to get revenge on the city who later destroyed his father. Bickford is particularly convincing in this ruthless executive character. Bruce Dern is the District Attorney assistant trying to nail him, preventing him to do more harm to the city. A topic so perfect for a big screen movie, a scheme so familiar to film buffs. Nothing special here, except this offbeat character scheme, with the Young DA assistant whose the grand father uses his grand son getting revenge of what the Bickford's father did to the city. Note that it was the last episode of the series, presented by June Allyson, Dick Powell's widow, so poignant in her voice, still plenty of sadness and grief so short after her husband death, the initial and former host of the show.
